PARENTS AND VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE NOT SIGNED UP ON-LINE BEFORE


  • At the Welcome screen click on the button labeled First Time.
  • To register your child(ren) select the first item, and/or to sign up as a volunteer select the second item.
  • Complete the Parent Information screen
  • The next screen is optional but highly recommended, as it makes it easier for you to:
         1) register additional players
         2) register for future years
         3) completing the volunteer registration form
         4) update/correct information.

  • There are six steps that you must complete to register your child(ren), which include:
         1) selecting a Region - We are Region 15
         2) completing the Parent Information section
         3) completing the Player Information
         4) selecting a Parent Job - We always need volunteers
         5) reviewing the Region Information section
         6) Agree & Submit. Please note that the information in any field marked with a red asterisk is required.

  • At the Welcome Screen, click on Print Player Form, click on your child's name and print out three copies of the registration form for each child you have registered, and two copies of the volunteer registration form that you have completed.
  • You're not finished with the registration process until you've clicked on Submit, printed your forms, AND have turned them in along with your payment at one of the walk-in registration dates.

  • PARENTS AND VOLUNTEERS WHO SIGNED UP ON-LINE LAST YEAR

  • Log on to www.eayso.org, using your email address and the password that you previously created. If you have forgotten your email address or password, click on the appropriate links and you will be prompted for responses to obtain this information. At the Welcome screen click the link for Application for a Returning Player; on the next screen select the player you want to register.

    What area does Region 15 serve? Region 15 covers all of Torrance,Lomita,Harbor City,Carson, and San Pedro areas. There are other regions that may be of interest to you. You can find out about them by going to our Area website at

    I have several siblings who want to play. Can I get a discount? Yes, the first child is $150, the 2nd child is $100, and each additional child after two is $55.[back to FAQ's]

    My child and his cousin(etc.)want to sign up. Can we take advantage of the multi-child discount? No. The multi-child discount applies specifically to children of a single family, not to relatives.[back to FAQ's]

    When does the season begin and when does it end? Our primary season runs from September 11th until early December. U6,U8,U16, and U19 will finish their season before the Thanksgiving Holiday. The rest of the teams will compete in either playoffs or a League Cup that ends in mid December.[back to FAQ's]

    Where are the games played? Region 15 games and practices take place at Howard Wood Elementary,Adams Elementary,Hull Middle School,Madrona Middle School,Hickory Elementary School,Hull @ Levy School, and Torrance Elementary School. U16 and U19 play at Ladera Linda in Palos Verdes.[back to FAQ's]

    What kind of payment will you accept? Only checks and cash are accepted.[back to FAQ's]

    My older child has never played soccer before. Can he/she still sign up? Yes, experience is not a requirement. The teams are set up so that all youths play at least 3/4 of each game.(upper division players,U16/U19 play a minimum of 1/2 of each game) We ask that players who are new to Region 15 or have never played in AYSO soccer, please attend an evaluation session.[back to FAQ's]

    Can my two children be on the same team? If they are within the same age bracket, they can play on the same team.[back to FAQ's]

    Can my child be on the same team as his best friend? U6 teams are formed by schools, so you can request that a child be put on a specific team. All other divisions are balanced teams. We do no accept any request for specific teams.[back to FAQ's]

    What do I have to buy for my child to play? The Region provides a jersey,shorts, and socks. Players much provide their own shoes,shin guards, and practice ball.[back to FAQ's]

    Can my child play for a particular coach? The coach's children may play on the teams their parent coaches. We do not honor other requests for specific coaches or for people to coach together.[back to FAQ's]

    My child has a physical or mental challenge. Can he/she still play? Region 15 does not offer a program for special needs children. However, our sister region in South Torrance will be able to accommodate your child. Please contact Cathy Howard at dcamhoward@sbcglobal.net [back to FAQ's]

    When are teams formed? The teams will be formed and distributed to the coaches by August 7th.[back to FAQ's]

    I need a specific practice day for my child. Can I request it? No, however, your new coach will call a preseason meeting and you may discuss your situation with them.[back to FAQ's]

    How many practices does my child have to attend? Coaches determine the practice schedules. Generally there are one to two practices per week for Under 10 and older.[back to FAQ's]

    My child cannot play on Sundays. Can he/she still join? Yes, however, we do not modify our game schedule to accommodate teams who have players that cannot play on Sunday.[back to FAQ's]

    I want to coach and/or referee. Do I need experience? No. Region 15 offers training and support to all of our volunteers. U6 coaches must take an age appropriate coaches clinic and U8 coaches must also be certified as referees to coach.(Unless they have a parent that will referee) All volunteers are required to take the Safe Haven Course (one time requirement) and fill in yearly volunteer forms that require background checks.[back to FAQ's]

    My child is exceptional. Can he/she play up a division? Players may play up one division with the permission of the Regional Commissioner and after verifying by a neutral source that the player's safety is not compromised. No player may play down a division for any reason. [back to FAQ's]

    How do I volunteer as a coach or referee? Region 15 welcomes parent involvement. If you would like to coach,assistant coach, or become a referee, please note that on your child's application. You must have a volunteer form filed before you can be considered as a coach, or any other volunteer. Please go to eAYSO.org fill in the online form and print two copies. Sign both copies and include them with a form of identification. A copy of your driver's license or ID card, must be included for verification. Volunteers are still subject to approval by Region 15 and the National office of AYSO. No applicant is guaranteed a volunteer position until they are notified by the CVPA,RC, or their designee.[back to FAQ's]

    What are Region 15's cancellation policies? Should you decide that your child will not play in the fall, there is a 100% refundable fee per player before July 1st with written notice and after July 1st, a $50 non-refundable fee with written notice.[back to FAQ's]

    I volunteered last year. Do I have to fill out the volunteer form again? Yes. A new volunteer form is required each year. You must register and print out two copies at eAYSO.org [back to FAQ's]

    I have taken Safe Haven. Do I need to take it again? No. It is a one time requirement. All new volunteers are required to take this short,informative session as part of AYSO's Child Protection Program.[back to FAQ's]

    I'd like to sit in a comfortable chair and just watch my child play...... Wouldn't we all? This and all other AYSO regions throughout the United States rely on our parent volunteers to make soccer possible. You can still sit in that comfortable chair and watch your child's game, but please be aware that all parents are expected to help the team and in some cases help the region function. WE HAVE NO PAID STAFF, so be prepared to be a volunteer...because without volunteers, there wouldn't be any soccer games.[back to FAQ's]
