AYSO Region 15 - 2009 Armed Forces Day Tournament
May 16th & 17th

Hello and welcome to the 2009 Armed Forces Day Tournament. My name is Jerry Wilson and I am your Tournament Director (TD). While my name may be listed as the TD, there is a very small group of volunteers within our Region who are dedicating many hours of their time to ensure every child, coach, parent and referee will walk away from this years Tournament with memorable experiences that will live on in their memories for many years to come. A daunting task indeed, but this group of volunteers are up to the challenge and I am 100% confident we will succeed.The Armed Forces Day Tournament is not just a soccer tournament. It is also a tournament where we want to honor the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. We are planning some special events to take place during the tournament that will allow all of us to take a moment or two to honor those who have served in the past as well as those who continue to serve our country abroad.

There are many tournaments every year throughout Southern California, and we realize that you play in many of these tournaments. We ask for your support in making the Armed Forces Day Tournament special. Details on how you and your team can participate in the special events we have planned will be provided in future correspondence and your tournament packets.
